Macrame wall hangings add texture and warmth to any room. Here is how to style them effectively.
Choose the right size
For a statement piece above a sofa or bed, look for 24x36 inches or larger. For smaller spaces like entryways or reading nooks, 18x24 inches works well. The wall hanging should fill about two-thirds of the wall space above your furniture.
Hang at the right height
The bottom of the wall hanging should be 4 to 6 inches above the top of your furniture. If hanging on a blank wall, center it at eye level, about 60 inches from the floor to the middle of the piece.
Layer with other decor
